Hi Laura and Rachel,

I was wondering if I could borrow your idea of how to layout a description of a plant variety with all the little sections. I really like how you have included seed saving, harvest, and growing ideas in the descriptions. I am not talking about the images, I take my own, or your words, just the idea for the layout which I will tweak quite a bit.

HI Laura, interesting, a lot of people I know have switched to WordPress from other tools. Guess you knew from Rachel what you’d be taking on!

Anyway, good to see that picture of you two back up – it’s a good one.

Also the irritating WordPress pop-up I mentioned does offer some options at the top of the panel; one of which is to disable for this site or all WordPress sites. Since the one that I was getting was quite big and also carried links to other sites, you might want to consider disabling this from your end (ie for all your users) unless other people tell you they find it really useful. For me it really distracts from your site because it jumps up when you least expect it as you move the mouse across the page.

I’ve fixed the missing image but a file name will show up on hover no idea how to stop that

HI Coil Thanks for feedback it really helps, I’ll look into it. It hasn’t been much work actually main work is still to happen taking all the content from the old site. Rachel has had no hand in it – you know how it is last thing she want to do with time off is anything on a computer so i’ve dun it all by meself…. hence there will be some dodgy bits here and there till I learn how to do it properly. Big issue is that all my links are broken and google no longer recognises my url because wordpress changed it from http://www.masdudiable.com to http://masdudiable.com so I’ve lost google ranking and have no recognised links – trying to sort it out when I have time but it is really well over my head.

Hi congratulations on the new format – I can see a lot of work has gone into it.

One comment though – I seem to get a WordPress pop-up box when I hover over a link or things like the missing photo (Rachel and Laura on the track to Mas du Diable). Do you find this useful (or does it only happen for certain browsers etc)? It seems a little off-putting.

Hi, Laura and Rachel,
I love your site and admire (and am jealous of) your efforts and this glorious undertaking of yours. My partner and I live and garden on 8 acres of land on the coast of northeastern Massachusetts, on what was once a big stone summer estate built in the 1890′s. The house was demolished in 1950, but the grounds, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, remain. I am an admitted seed-o-holic and the colder the winter, the more obsessive my internet searches for interesting and rare edible plants and seeds. If there is anything you would like me to try to track down for you let me know. If you ever find seeds for Aleppo, Urfa or Maras peppers, let me know. I f you follow gardenweb.com, you have probably seen the posts about Insuk’s Wang Kong runner beans. They have gotten a lot of attention because they are supposed to hold up well during hot summer weather. I’m giving them a try this year. Also, I recently discovered the Fosrin project that is encouraging the growing of rice beans. There is a very nice video of theirs on youtube.com.
